The Lanesborough Heralds a New Era With Renovation Plans
The Lanesborough has announced it will be undertaking an extensive renovation project, as part of the London hotel’s commitment to providing guests with unrivaled facilities and services. As a result of the planned renovation, The Lanesborough will close its doors on December 20, 2013 and reopen in the fourth quarter of 2014.
The new designs by world renowned interior designer, Alberto Pinto, will enhance all guest rooms and public areas.
The plans mark Alberto Pinto’s final project, before his death last year, and will see his legacy live on at The Lanesborough. Alberto Pinto set the standard for "Haute Interior Design," and his signature "savoir faire" has become synonymous with some of the world’s most spectacular interiors. His eclectic approach to residential décor and classic vision made him one of the most celebrated interior designers in the world, and perfectly complements the tastes and aesthetic of The Lanesborough.
While incorporating the latest in contemporary luxury and technological innovations, the renovations will honor the building’s architectural heritage as one of London’s most revered Regency landmarks, and will embody the signature style that has become synonymous with The Lanesborough.
The refurbishment will extend to all areas of the hotel, including the 93 guest rooms and all Public Areas. During the closure, the hotel will continue to provide dedicated Reservations and Concierge services to their loyal guests.
Geoffrey Gelardi, Managing Director of The Lanesborough says: “Since we first opened 22 years ago, we have been dedicated to surpassing guest’s expectations with attention to detail and unrivalled service. We pride ourselves on being at the forefront of the hotel industry, undertaking regular updates — however, this marks an unprecedented renovation project. Through Alberto Pinto’s talent and vision combined with the latest innovations, we will undoubtedly reaffirm ourselves as one of the most distinguished and luxurious hotels in the world. We look forward to unveiling a new era for The Lanesborough.”
From December 9 to 13, 2013, The Lanesborough will be auctioning all existing furnishings and artifacts from the hotel. Please visit www.thelanesboroughsale.com for further information.
