Caran d’Ache Reveals its Masculine Side

  • Alexandra Foster

Pen maker Caran d’Ache has introduced a collection of limited-edition writing instruments dedicated to men. Defined by dark ebony details set with geometric patterns, the Varius Link Series 1 offers a fountain, roller, and ballpoint pen (starting at $1,600) and mechanical pencil styles, in a numbered series of 1,001 each. Fine leaves of mother-of-pearl have been inlayed into the ebony body, with threads of white gold interlaced around the barrel and cap. A small collection of matching accessories, including a belt, cufflinks, and a lighter are also being offered in the Varius Link Series. (www.carandache.com)
