Play Time

The latest offering from Daniel Roth is a wristwatch with a twist: Besides keeping time, it can keep you entertained. Inspired by Italian baroque artist Caravaggio’s 16th-century painting The Card Players, the Il Giocatore Veneziano displays seven animation points and an automaton that plays a dice game resulting in 504 possible outcomes. Only 30 limited-edition models will be made of the minute-repeater automaton, with hour and minute indications. The watch is priced at $452,100. (www.danielroth.com)
