Private Preview 2005: Keller Comes to the Home
While it may be impossible to re-create Per Se’s menu items at home, the 29-piece hollowware collection used throughout the restaurant will be available next year at Christofle stores. The K + T Collection marks the first time Thomas Keller, owner of Manhattan’s Per Se as well as Napa Valley’s French Laundry, and restaurant designer Adam Tihany have collaborated on products for the home. “I do this a lot for different manufacturers,” says Tihany, who has also designed china for Schönwald and seating for McGuire. “Thomas’ input from the other side of the business, as a chef, has helped to develop the design of the pieces so that they become practical for food.” From the champagne cooler to the petit-four tray (shown), every piece in the collection will bear the line’s signature gadroon.
