    The dining experience at this unprepossessing roadhouse is unlike that at Thomas Keller’s flagship establishment, the French Laundry. The informal Ad Hoc features a $49-per-person prix fixe menu, which includes four courses of American comfort food. Specialties: Flank steak, pot roast, or fried chicken accompanied by savory salads, local cheeses, and fresh-baked chocolate brownies or seasonal fruit tarts.
