Amangiri

Travelers who may have felt called to the frontier by Amanresorts’ Western-themed Amangani in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, can now follow the sun to Amangiri, the resort that holds the distinction of being the Singapore-based company’s second U.S. property. Set in southwest Utah—home to the Navajo and Hopi for centuries—Amangiri occupies a 600-acre stretch of desert surrounded by towering plateaus, red-rock escarpments, and pastel bluffs. Countering the dry surroundings, Amangiri’s design abounds with water features. Decorative pools and streams trickle throughout the grounds, while some of the suites have plunge pools in private courtyards. Accommodations Thirty-four suites. Dining Facilities The 25,000-square-foot spa offers treatments in five candlelit rooms, as well as on two outdoor terraces and a pavilion that floats in a reflection pool. Rates From $900 to $3,500 per night for the Amangiri in peak season.
