Each of the 24 rooms at Casa Palmero has a wood-burning fireplace, and several offer private courtyards with hot tubs. Guests of the hotel tend to linger in the common areas, which include a billiard room, a library, and bougainvillea-lined patios. Right next door to the hotel is the Spa at Pebble Beach, a 22,000-square-foot facility with fountains, trellised walkways, and courtyards designed to match Casa Palmero’s Mediterranean motif. Accommodations Casa Palmero’s past as a private residence is evident in the 24 guest rooms, which include fireplaces and hefty wood furnishings. Recreation Golfing on four legendary courses, swimming at the Beach & Tennis Club, horseback riding on 34 miles of trails. Dining Club XIX (contemporary cuisine), Roy’s (Hawaiian fusion), and Pèppoli (Italian) are the fine-dining options among Pebble Beach’s dozen eating establishments. Worthy Diversion Watch from the course as Jet Ski drivers tow surfers into waves as high as 65 feet. Rates From $780 for an Estate Room to $2,550 for the 1,500-square-foot Palmero Suite.
