    Every May, directors, producers, critics, and actors vie for rooms at Hotel Martinez, the premier address in Cannes, France. The Art Deco-style hotel overlooks the Bay of Cannes a few blocks from Palais Festivals et des Congrès, host of the city’s annual film festival. In the first-floor Suite de Oliviers, a 2,500-square-foot terrace affords views of the sea, the palm-lined boulevard La Croisette, and the Martinez’s private beach. The hotel’s Michelin-two-star La Palme d’Or serves modern Mediterranean cuisine in a Dining room decorated with black-and-white photographs chronicling the 58-year-old festival. Accommodations The suite de Oliviers, a 2,500-square-foot terrace provides excellent views of the sea, famous boulevard La Croisette, and a private waterfront beach. Dining With a view overlooking the Bay of Cannes, La Palme d’Or brings guests from all over the world to sample chef Christian Sinicropi's cuisine. Outside on the terrace, Le Relais Martinez offers an alternative casual restaurant, serving fresh produce and local seafood year-round. Rates From $380 to about $45,300.
