InterContinental Thalasso-Spa Bora-Bora

Thalassotherapy goes to new depths at this decadent new over-water spa. And thalasso junkies are taking note. They’re flocking to Bora-Bora not for the island but for the spa. Designed by Algotherm, Deep Ocean Spa utilizes mineral-rich, deep-sea water extracted from 2,500 feet below sea level in treatments. Spa suites come with glass floors (watch fish swim by during treatments), and all 80 bungalows are also over water, some with views of Mount Otemanu. Specialty Wade through the outdoor Deep Chiller Walk, a path of cold deep-sea water jets that increase circulation and relieve jet-lagged legs. For a more soothing experience, book the Bora-Bora Deep Blue Massage. The effect of the treatment’s water-infused products is similar to diving into the depths of the Pacific Ocean. Rates From about $1,000 per day.
