Pezula Resort Hotel & Spa

    The 2,500-acre Pezula property encompasses a chic spa, an 18-hole championship golf course, a private residential development, and the elegant Pezula Hotel. The 20 modern villas house 78 suites with natural-stone fireplaces and richly stained furniture hewn from local woods. African art and ceramics accent each room’s muted color scheme, as do subtle touches such as a bird book and binoculars on the hearth and artisan dolls left at turndown. Accommodations Each of the 76 studio and villa suites measures at least 600 square feet and has a private patio or balcony. The Mufaro and Kufara suites are 1,500 square feet and include discrete Dining areas. Recreation The Field of Dreams, as the on-site activity center is known, offers tennis, horseback riding, archery, hiking, canoeing, and cricket. Dining Eclectic cuisine from executive chef Geoffrey Murray at Zachary’s, which has a private dining room for as many as 10 guests. Worthy Diversion Take a day trip to the 49,000-acre Kwandwe Private Game Reserve, home to more than 230 species of birds. Rates Studio and villa suites from $540 to $730; the Mufaro and Kufara suites from $1,300 to $1,530.
