The Bungalows at Mauna Lani

    Set on a five-acre, oceanfront site within the Mauna Lani Resort, the Bungalows at Mauna Lani comprises only five two-bedroom villas. Each of the 4,000-square-foot bungalows includes a bar, a kitchen, an iMac G5 computer, a 50-inch plasma-screen TV, and an expansive living room that opens onto a patio with a swimming pool and hot tub. Private paths lead from the villas to the adjacent beach. Accommodations Each of the bungalows includes butler service. Recreation Swim with the endangered green honu (sea turtles) or play on two Francis H. I`i Brown golf courses. Dining Mauna Lani’s best restaurant, the Canoe House, offers Pacific Rim cuisine overlooking the surf. Worthy Diversion Spot `ope`ape`a (Hawaiian bats) and at least 20 other endangered species in the Hakalau Forest National Wildlife Refuge, which is not open to the general public. Rates From $5,500 per night for two guests in an ocean-view bungalow and from $6,225 for an oceanfront unit.
