The Lodge at Paratiho Farms

Paratiho’s hub is a palatial main lodge with a spa, lounge, and library inside and a croquet lawn, putting green, and infinity pool outside. Flanking the lodge are the resort’s six one-bedroom suites, equipped with laptops, fireplaces, four-poster beds, Persian rugs, and lavish bathrooms that look out onto private fern gardens. Accommodations Separate from the main lodge, the six one-bedroom suites feature fireplaces and private patios. The more secluded Farm Cottage has three bedrooms, a formal Dining room, a fireside lounge, and a kitchen. Recreation A tennis court, infinity pool, petanque court, and putting green are on the premises. Dining Five-course feasts paired with local vintages can be enjoyed privately or in the communal Dining room, where co-owner Sally Hunt often joins guests. Worthy Diversion Heli-bike the Rameka Track’s lunar-like northern face into the Takaka Valley, where a Eurocopter will pick you up and fly you to Mount Olympus for a Champagne toast. Rates From $1,220 to $1,590 per suite. Cottage Rates available upon request.
