Laureato Regatta

The 32 pieces of the Laureato Regatta chronograph are dedicated to the extraordinary character of the 32nd America’s Cup: In a 46-mm white gold case, the watch combines a flying tourbillon and a chronograph with a countdown mechanism. Completely new, the caliber of the Laureato Regatta chronograph was developed specifically for the competition. One hand is entirely dedicated to the countdown of the 10 minutes preceding the start of the race, enabling the remaining time to be read with precision in a zone situated between 9 and 12 o’clock. Then, the counter at 1 o’clock instantly takes over the calculation of the duration of the race. A single pusher is used to operate the various functions, located at 3 o’clock, and the crown situated at 4 o’clock is protected and screwed down to ensure water resistance and to prevent any inadvertent activation. Inside Information: The mechanism of the flying tourbillon is fixed only on the bottom part of the movement, the plate. This makes the whole tourbillon visible through the dial.
