Robb Report's 21 Ultimate Gifts: Bon Voyage, Bon Vivant

  • Sheila J. Gibson

Travel in style with this unique collection of luggage from Louis Vuitton. The cigar trunk can hold a total of 1,000 cigars in its 12 humidified drawers and its humidor, and includes a built-in hygrometer, a device that monitors humidity. This particular trunk will come filled with Padrón cigars—specifically, 900 from the 1964 Anniversary Series and the 1926 series, and 100 rare Millennium edition cigars. The bottle carrier will contain a bottle of Krug Grande Cuvée multivintage Champagne, and the crystal decanter in the whisky case will be filled with 1953 Hine Vintage Cognac. The whisky case (shown here in black Epi leather from Louis Vuitton’s Epi collection) provides the tools that a traveling bon vivant requires: an ice container and tongs, an elegant little box for snacks, a corkscrew, and four silver tumblers, ideal vessels for sharing your Cognac with the friends you will meet on your journeys. All of the tools in the case are made by noted silversmith company Christofle. Completing the foursome is a wooden-framed backgammon set with an interior lined in alacantara, a material that feels like suede. The backgammon set also comes with two hand-sewn natural cowhide dice cups and is available with or without a brown leather handle. Each of the four pieces is available in any of Louis Vuitton’s canvas or leather styles.

Price: $66,514.
