A Custom Golf Experience in Southern California

In celebration of its 20-year anniversary, Aviara Golf Club at the Park Hyatt in Carlsbad, Calif., is offering the Callaway Golf Experience Package now through Labor Day weekend. Special features include a custom club-fitting session at Callaway headquarters, where the player will hit golf balls into a screen of scenic Pebble Beach, and high-speed cameras and ball-flight simulators will assess the speed, angle, and spin of the ball and the player’s swing. From its model, a Callaway specialist will engineer a custom driver as a complimentary gift from Aviara. “Custom club fitting is the new wave in golf,” said Tony Pistillo, director of advertising and public relations at the Park Hyatt. “It creates clubs to compensate for the inaccuracies that make a bad swing.” The package also includes breakfast and unlimited golf for the duration of the stay, starting at $800 for the first night and about $400 for each additional night.
