Throughout Windsor Castle’s almost 1,000-year history, a public event has never been allowed inside the royal palace’s walls—until now. The first-ever Windsor Castle Concours of Elegance, from September 7 to 9, will showcase 60 rare motorcycles, cars, and horse-drawn carriages including a 1930 Bugatti Type 41 Royale Kellner Coupe, a 1963 Ferrari 250 GTO, and the 1948 Vincent Black Lightning prototype popularly known as the “Bathing Suit Bike.”

In celebration of the inaugural event, luxury travel adventure brand Abercrombie & Kent has launched three new trips catering to the classic car enthusiast. Exclusively for A&K’s Marco Polo Club members, the nine-day, $13,365 Quintessential Britain tour, September 5 to 14, is guided by vintage-car expert Janet Cameron. Travelers are granted VIP access to Owners Day at the Windsor Castle Concours, before exploring the Jaguar and BMW Group factories, test-driving Land Rovers on an off-road track, and sightseeing around Oxford university, the Cotswolds, and Blenheim Palace—the birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill. A similar seven-day, $10,475 British Motoring tour takes place September 9 to 15. In addition to visiting the Jaguar factory and Land Rover test-driving, travelers take in the Morgan factory, visit the historic site of the Battle of Hastings, witness the annual Goodwood Revival vintage-car race that takes place on the only remaining classic circuit, and celebrate the 50th anniversary of James Bond films at Bond in Motion, which is the world’s largest Bond exhibition, with 50 official vehicles on display. Also, a much shorter adventure called London & the Windsor Castle Concours of Elegance is available from September 6 to 9. The four-day, $4,835 tour includes VIP tickets to Owners Day at the Windsor Castle Concours and guides travelers on a private tour of Buckingham Palace’s State Rooms and the special Diamonds exhibit honoring the queen’s Diamond Jubilee.
