Anantara’s Elephant Polo Package

The Anantara Hua Hin Resort & Spa in Thailand provides a rare opportunity to see a glimpse of the country’s much-heralded elephant polo matches. The hotel’s first  Pachyderms and Polo package is being offered from September 4 to 11 to coincide with the 10th anniversary of the King’s Cup Elephant Polo charity tournament. Starting at about $300 per night, the package includes hotel accommodation, daily breakfast and lunch for two, round-trip transfers between the hotel and the playing field, and a spa treatment. Guests will have VIP access to a private tent and dining area, and they will meet the players and elephants after the tournament.

The polo event funds research at Chiang Mai University for autism therapy sessions with elephants, along with various other elephant projects.  (+66.3252.0250,www.anantaraelephantpolo.com)
