Now through the end of November, Bacara Resort & Spa, located on Santa Barbara’s picturesque coastline, is giving guests the chance to participate in a hands-on winemaking experience alongside some of the region’s top winemakers. The Bacara Crush promotion ($350 per person) includes a trip to either Brewer – Clifton winery, Carhartt Vineyard, or Harrison Clarke Wine, where guests will help sort and stomp grapes and enjoy tours of exclusive vineyards that are otherwise closed to the public. Afterward, there will be a wine tasting and picnic at the vineyard.

Bacara also hosts year-round wine-tasting excursions and tastings in its own 12,000-bottle wine cellar and tasting room, a part of its restaurant, Miró. Guest rooms at the resort start at about $300. (805.455.2727, www.bacararesort.com)
