Christina Garofalo

Casa de Campo in the Dominican Republic has recently completed a $40 million renovation. Among its enhancements are 50 three- to eight-bedroom villas, each equipped with amenities such as a private pool, gazebo, home theater, and access to a personal chef. The 7,000-acre resort also has 165 newly renovated rooms and 10 suites, along with 20 dining options including the central La Caña restaurant and lounge by Il Circo and the Beach Club by Le Cirque, conveniently located right on the beach.

The expansive destination has numerous activities from the Cygalle Healing Spa by Cygalle Dias (creator of Synergy House spa in the Hamptons), to the polo and equestrian club, a 245-acre shooting center, La Terraza Tennis Center, the marina and yacht club, kayaking on the Chavon River, snorkeling at Minitas Beach, and golfing on one of the resort’s three acclaimed courses. Casa de Campo also has its own cultural city, Altos de Chavon, with art galleries, museums, boutiques, and more. The villas range from $975 to $4,500 per night, and rooms start around $400 per night.
