Nimmo Bay Wilderness Resort, a family-owned and -operated adventure resort in British Columbia, Canada, is offering a new trip that takes fishing fanatics on a private helicopter expedition through more than 50,000 square miles of wilderness and 30 rivers within the Great Bear Rainforest to fish for wild salmon. Offered now through October, the heli-fishing adventure is available in two- to four-day packages ($2,450 per person per day) and includes accommodation in a private cabin, heli-fishing excursions led by resort owner Craig Murray, lunch atop a 10,000-year-old glacier, and a four-course dinner at the resort. When they are not up in the air or ankle-deep in a stream, guests have access to Nimmo Bay’s floating fire dock, waterfall plunge pool and hot tub, and lounge, as well as saltwater fishing, whale-watching tours, kayaking, bear watching, fly-fishing lessons, and more.
