Primland’s New Tree House Retreat

Christina Garofalo

Perched approximately 3,000 feet above sea level, the Golden Eagle Tree House—the secluded one-bedroom suite, overlooking the Dan River Gorge (from $425 per night)—is the latest addition to the Primland retreat, located in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia. Accessible by a wooden bridge walkway, the tree house comprises a living room, a kitchen, a bathroom, and a deck, and sits alongside the Highland Course. Primland activities include golf, hunting, fishing, ATV riding, horseback riding, tennis, and hiking; there is a spa, a swimming pool, a gym, a movie theater, an observatory, and more.
