Jenna Hockema

Fairmont the Palm is the latest hotel to land on the Palm Jumierah, Dubai—the world’s largest artificial island, in the shape of a palm tree. The property features 381 rooms and suites, many with extended balconies with sea views. An array of dining options ranges from Frevo, an authentic Brazilian restaurant, to Ba, which offers pan-Chinese fare. The Fairmont has an expansive Willow Stream Spa with 13 treatment rooms, plus four swimming pools, a fitness center, and a private beach. Rates start at $517 a night.
