Sneak Peek: Four Seasons Resort Vail

Built in the style of an Alpine village, the 121-room Four Seasons Resort Vail opens December 11 at the mouth of Vail Village. Paying tribute to Colorado’s rustic heritage, guest rooms and suites incorporate local materials like hickory and limestone, and many include private terraces looking out at either the village or the 11,500-foot peak of Vail Mountain. A nearby chairlift provides skiers and snowboarders access to the dry, powdery slopes that earn Vail its fame. To unwind, the resort offers guests a full menu of massage and facial treatments that are available in either guest’s rooms or one of the hotel spa’s 12 treatment rooms. Accommodations start at $625 a night. (970.477.8600, www.fourseasons.com)
