Sneak Peek: Monastero Santa Rosa Hotel & Spa, Amalfi Coast

Originally a 17th-century monastery, the Monastero Santa Rosa Hotel & Spa opened on May 17 on Italy’s Amalfi Coast. The five-floor hotel is built into the side of a mountain and has a glass elevator overlooking the Bay of Salerno. It has 20 rooms and suites, a pool, and gardens that lead to a 12th-century chapel. The building’s original vaulted ceilings remain throughout its spa—which features a steam room and sauna and a hydrotherapy pool—and its restaurant, which opens to an outdoor terrace with a fireplace.
