Sneak Peek: Ocean Edge Resort & Golf Club, Cape Cod

  • Amanda Millin

The 429-acre Ocean Edge Resort & Golf Club on Cape Cod, Mass. has unveiled 90 renovated guest rooms adjacent to its 100-year-old Victorian mansion. Rooms start at $225 per night. It’s part of a $5.3 million upgrade, which will be completed in late 2012 when the resort finishes renovating its two- and three-bedroom Bay Pines Villas, which neighbor the mansion. Both the mansion and villas have access to Ocean Edge’s private Nicklaus Design golf course and 700 feet of private beaches, along with the mansion’s restaurant and bar.

This summer, the resort also is opening a members-only sports club featuring a 10,500-square-foot facility that overlooks the 14th green, equipped with a pool, gym, and Pilates studio, and offering workout classes targeted specifically to tennis and golf players. Membership, starting at $12,500 for the year, includes full access to the resort’s facilities, including golf and tennis courts. (508.896.9000, www.oceanedge.com)
