  • Jenna Hockema

Pangulasian Island opened last month in Bacuit Bay, El Nido, making it the fourth El Nido Resorts property in the Philippines. The resort, accessible via daily flights from Manila, is situated in a marine protected area, flanked by limestone cliffs, a tropical forest, and pristine beaches. Pangulasian has a total of 42 accommodations, including eight Canopy Villas and 24 Beach Villas (from about $485 a night). The resort’s restaurant menu features organically grown vegetables from the property’s own garden, and the spa offers a variety of Asian and European treatments, including the traditional Filipino hilot massage. Additional activities include a gym, scuba diving, snorkeling, kayaking, and hiking. (+63.813.0000, www.elnidoresorts.com)
