Sneak Peek: The St. Regis Tianjin

The St. Regis Tianjin opened October 30 as that city’s first hotel to offer butler service for all guests. Located in northern China, about a 30-minute bullet-train ride from Beijing, the 18-story glass-and-steel structure features the largest presidential suite in Tianjin, along with 273 guest rooms and suites, many of which offer views of the Hai River. The property’s three restaurants offer everything from Italian and modern Cantonese to Kung Fu tea service and a “24K” silver and gold menu specifically designed for wedding anniversaries. Special grand opening rates begin at about $140 a night until March 2012. (+86.22.5830.9999, www.stregis.com/tianjin)
