One&Only Palmilla in Los Cabos, Mexico, has opened the first international outpost of the PGA Tour Academy to allow guests a unique opportunity to improve their golf game with state-of-the-art training equipment. Modeled after the flagship academy in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla., the new facility features club fitting, fitness, and mental conditioning, as well as high-speed camera and video analysis to help improve players’ swings and short games. Guests can practice on any of One&Only Palmilla’s three nine-hole courses overlooking the Sea of Cortés, its practice area, putting and chipping greens, and practice bunkers.
There are two-, three-, and five-day programs for all levels (from about $500 per person), including private, group, and family lessons; clinics designed specifically to hone your short game; and a new Get Golf Ready program for beginners that includes one hour per week of instruction for four weeks. The new property also features a Golf for Life program that provides fitness, nutrition, and course management, along with non-golf activities such as spa treatments and tequila tastings.
