Best of the Best 2012: Women's Watches: Innovative Design: Louis Vuitton Tambour Lady Spin Time Joaillerie

  • Louis Vuitton Tambour Lady Spin Time Joaillerie

Like so many other great women’s timepieces, Louis Vuitton’s Tambour Lady Spin Time Joaillerie ($71,500) features a complicated mechanical display that first appeared on the men’s version of the watch. Louis Vuitton developed the inventive rotating cube display on its own, and on the men’s edition, the company proudly reveals its work by opening part of the mechanism to view. But with its black and white diamonds, the display on the Tambour Lady Spin Time truly shines. Its movement, high contrast, and geometry will impress anyone who examines it—or merely glimpses it from the corner of his or her eye. (212.872.2000, www.louisvuitton.com)
