Rocky Patel’s New Cigar Bar: Burn

  • Doug Campau

Premium cigar maker Rocky Patel has opened Burn, a cigar bar of unique and innovative style, in Naples, Florida. Located among the upscale boutiques, restaurants, and nightlife hot spots of the Mercato, near Vanderbilt Beach, Burn (opened last November) offers guests the full line of Rocky Patel cigars, including those of the acclaimed Decade, 1961, and Vintage series. Complementing the menu of custom-blended cigars, Burn features a broad selection of single-malt scotches, Cognacs, bourbons, and other spirits.  There is also an extensive list of ports and fine, cigar-friendly wines, each one hand-selected by Rocky Patel himself. The knowledgeable staff stands ready to provide recommendations tailored to each guest’s individual tastes. One of Patel’s objectives in designing Burn was to create an escape, an environment in which customers feel as though they have traveled to some distant, enchanting corner of the world. To that end, Burn eschews common cigar bar décor in favor of the exotic. Its ambiance draws upon the styles of far-flung lands, from Cuba to the Mediterranean Basin and Asia Minor. Clusters of imported chandeliers cast soft light, here and there, in an interior anchored by a one-of-a-kind bar of illuminated orange quartz. Everything about Burn suggests a meticulous attention to detail, as one might expect, for as Patel puts it, “Burn is about details, and details create the experience.” (239.653.9013, www.rockypatel.com)
