Robb Report’s Luxury Guide to the 35th America’s Cup

Are you ready to regatta? With the race to the 35th America’s Cup already under way, the world’s finest sailors are fighting it out on high-performance foiling catamarans for the chance to challenge the defending champion, Oracle Team USA of San Francisco’s Golden Gate Yacht Club. First held in 1851 and won by the schooner America (the race’s namesake), the oldest international sporting competition now includes a prelude comprising a series of circuits designed to cull the competitors.

First off the line, the Louis Vuitton America’s Cup World Series, currently in progress, plots a course through each contender’s home country with races that will determine ranking in the following America’s Cup Qualifiers. The latter unfurl in Hamilton, Bermuda—backdrop for the rest of the races. The final four teams earn entry in the Challenger Playoffs where one yacht will move on to face the current trophy-holder head-to-head, from June 17 through 27 of 2017.

To ensure that your own America’s Cup experience is smooth sailing, presents the following comprehensive guide on where to dine, stay, and play in each of the host destinations from qualifiers to final cup—sea legs not included.
