    The board for the Purling London Art Chess set (www.purlinglondon.com) is crafted from black anigre wood and bird’s-eye maple, and each of the game pieces is hand-painted by a contemporary British artist. The set is priced from $2,300 to $3,830. Custom artist commissions and colors are available for an additional fee.
