On November 12, Jimi Hendrix, the Velvet Underground and Nico, Hank Williams, and more will headline at Heritage Auctions. The Dallas-based auction house is offering an unparalleled collection of more than 100 original concert posters. Valued in excess of $250,000, the collection truly enters unchartered territory—most of the individual posters have never crossed the auction block before. “I’ve worked in music memorabilia for 28 years, and [this poster collection] knocked me back for the sheer quality and type,” says Giles Moon, consignment director of entertainment and music memorabilia at Heritage. “I see 10 in a year if I’m lucky. To see 100 in a go is, like, wow.”
