Inspired by the Aston Martin V8 Vantage GTE racecar, the new Vantage GT8 is a titan on the track that can tear up the streets with equal aplomb.

The lightest and most powerful version of the Vantage available, the 440 hp supercar features a 4.7-liter V-8 engine and the choice of a six-speed manual gearbox or a seven-speed, paddle-shifted automatic transmission. Weight-saving carbon fiber abounds throughout the car, with the material used for its front splitter, front and rear bumpers, fenders, side sills, door panels, and rear diffuser. Inside, manually adjusted carbon fiber sports seats help to further reduce weight, although creature comforts like air conditioning, a stereo, and an infotainment system are not sacrificed.

The Vantage GT8 is available in three different color schemes: combinations of gray and blue, white and green, or green and lime. An optional aerodynamic package adds a large rear spoiler and additional corner elements to the front splitter. Priced from about $235,500, the Vantage GT8 will be limited to just 150 examples. Unfortunately for US Aston Martin fans, the marque currently has no plans to make the vehicle available in North America. (astonmartin.com)
