The XLS+, introduced in 2008, is the latest model in the best-selling Excel line, adding powerful new digital-control engines by Pratt & Whitney. With the roomy cabin of a midsize jet and the zippy short-runway and climb performance of a light jet, the XLS+ hits the mark for many. The stand-up cabin measures 18.5 feet long. A new seat design provides an extra two inches of width yet obtrudes less into the aisle. The new engines feature full-authority digital controls to decrease pilot workload during takeoff and landings.
