The Indian Scout’s design includes a cast aluminum-and-steel frame, fenders with chrome details, and a beautiful leather saddle.

Flaunting sculpted fenders, a curving tank, and gleaming pipes, the Indian Scout is a wonder to view. Though it is priced at just under $11,000, it has the look and performance of a premium bike. Indian Scout's design also includes a cast aluminum-and-steel frame, a glossy or matte tank and fenders with chrome details, and a beautiful leather saddle. The prominent badging on the fuel tank, with the word Indian written in script, is similar to that which adorned the original Scouts from the 1920s. Indian Motorcycles built Scout models from 1919 until 1949. Burt Munro piloted a highly modified Scout during his record-setting run at the Bonneville Salt Flats in 1967, and the Indian Wrecking Crew member Bill Tuman rode one to victory at the Springfield Mile in 1953, enabling him to claim that year’s AMA Grand National Championship—as the company was going out of business. Polaris Industries acquired the brand in 2011, after a series of owners and periods of dormancy.

The new Indian Scout’s water-cooled, fuel-injected 1,133 cc V-twin engine is equipped with dual-overhead camshafts that help it rev freely and smoothly. The engine generates 100 hp, enabling the Indian Scout to accelerate with brio. The 6-speed transmission delivers crisp shifts, and the long exhaust pipes produce a sweet crooning. Optional accessories include a removable Lexan windshield, handsome tan saddlebags, and a passenger seat.
