Lamborghini Unveils a New 700 HP Homage to the Miura

The Raging Bull has unleashed a new beast, the Lamborghini Aventador Miura Homage—a commemorative coupe that pays tribute to the 50th anniversary of the marque’s hallmark Miura model produced from 1966 to 1973. The new release features the Aventador’s impressive 700 hp 6.5-liter V-12 engine, which gives it the ability to blast from zero to 62 mph in 2.9 seconds while on its way to a top speed of 217 mph. The Miura, in contrast, generated up to 380 hp and topped out at 171 mph—the fastest production car of the day.

Distinctive detailing for the special edition includes a dual-tone exterior (with six available colors) and a stance accentuated by 20-inch/21-inch Dione rims in matt silver or gold. The side of the car will be emblazoned with metallic Miura badging, while the Lamborghini logo (in black) and limited-edition plating refines the rear and interior, respectively. The cabin can be dressed in either Nero Ade or Terra Emilia leather accented with tone-on-tone stitching. Further embellishments include the Miura 50th logo (in gold or silver) high on the seats and “Lamborghini” spelled out along the leather dashboard.

The Aventador Miura Homage debuted yesterday at the United Kingdom’s Goodwood Festival of Speed (from June 23 to 26) and will later be showcased at numerous events planned for Miura’s 50th anniversary. Fittingly, only 50 examples will be made. (lamborghini.com)
