One of the year’s more impressive megayachts was launched this summer in Seattle. Delta Marine’s Invictus (www.deltamarine.com) is a 216-footer named for the William Ernest Henley poem (“I am the master of my fate / I am the captain of my soul”). The vessel is a true world traveler: It has a range of 7,000 nautical miles and a steel hull that is strong enough to allow for navigation through icy waters. The yacht’s 43-foot beam creates ample interior space for 12 guests and 22 crew members, and the many floor-to-ceiling windows on three of its six decks offer plentiful views. Invictus is available for charter through Burgess (www.burgessyachts.com) for weekly rates starting at about $476,000.
