Auto-show season comes to a close in New York, where after months of unveilings and world debuts, some manufacturers still managed to save a few surprises for last. Unlike the Geneva International Motor Show with its mélange of supercars and ultra-luxe limousines, the New York International Auto Show is the automotive equivalent of a ready-to-wear collection, with more practical sports and luxury cars stealing the scene.
