Equipped with bigger, more powerful engines, the Hawker 900XP (316.676.0800, www.hawkerbeechcraft.com) represents a significant upgrade over its predecessor, the 850XP. These engines improve the jet’s ability to take off in hot weather and high altitudes, and they enable it to reach its cruise altitude of 41,000 feet in just 25 minutes. The $16 million 900XP, which seats as many as nine passengers, can cruise at speeds faster than 500 mph and has a range greater than 3,200 miles when carrying four passengers.
