Best of the Best 2011: Business Aircraft: Super Midsize: Cessna Citation Sovereign

    The most remarkable feature of the Cessna Citation Sovereign (316.517.6056, www.cessna.com) is its versatility. It can take off from a runway that is only 3,640 feet long, thanks to its power-to-weight ratio and wing design. Those factors also enable the $17.5 million jet to climb to 43,000 feet in just 23 minutes. While carrying as many as five passengers, the Sovereign can travel 3,276 miles nonstop at a cruise speed of 500 mph. Its luggage capacity is the best in the class: It offers 35 cubic feet of storage space inside the cabin and another 100 cubic feet in an external compartment. The cabin seats a maximum of 12 passengers.
