Diamond’s five-seater promises to have the largest cabin of any single-engine piston airplane. Buyers can choose either the lightly pressurized Super Star version to go farther, faster, and higher, or the less-powerful Magnum for maximum fuel efficiency. The SuperStar backseat is a bench for three; the Magnum seats two in back in first-class comfort. In early 2010, FAA certification and first deliveries are pending.
