Private Preview 2005: Global Reach

<< Back to Robb Report, October 2004

The first Bombardier Global 5000 business jet will be delivered later this year, presenting owners with an aircraft that cruises at 562 mph and has a range of 5,520 miles—more than enough to cross the Atlantic or travel from one U.S. coast to another. The plane, which completed its maiden flight in March 2003, can transport as many as 19 passengers, although the typical cabin configuration will accommodate eight in a manner more comfortable than any first-class section can. So that passengers can better utilize or enjoy their time in the air, the $33.5 million jet can be outfitted with Rockwell Collins’ Airshow 21 electronics system, which includes Internet access as well as satellite television and other entertainment options.
