57 SF

Sportfishing aficionados would be forgiven if they confused Vicem's 57 SF with a salty battlewagon originating in the Carolinas. The 57, which made its U.S. debut in early 2010, looks very much like a custom Buddy Davis or Rybovich. The Vicem is also built the same way, with cold-molded mahogany. But the 57, built in Turkey, will have a noticeably smaller price tag while the quality levels are comparable. Vicem hopes to tap into the dedicated saltwater fishing market with its series of sportfishing boats. The 57 is outfitted for billfishing tournaments and 100-mile trips to the canyons. Wood enthusiasts will also love the meticulous detailing of the solid Khaya mahogany joinery on the walls or Ducia mahogany flooring. Vicem's craftsmen are masters with wood. They are also building a very good fishing machine.
