The Arcadia 85 U.S. Edition Yacht Brings Solar Panels and Italian Style to the United States
At the Miami Yacht and Brokerage Show in February, the Italian shipbuilder Arcadia Yachts introduced a new version of its 85-foot yacht that has been reworked to meet the demands of the U.S. market. The Arcadia 85 U.S. Edition has an adapted layout with an open galley, a dressing area in the VIP cabin, and space for a clothes washer and dryer. The U.S. version is also equipped with a more powerful air-conditioning system and increased insulation, ensuring maximum comfort for guests onboard.
Like the standard Arcadia 85, the U.S. Edition’s superstructure is affixed with 431 square feet of photovoltaic panels, which generate enough electricity to power all of the boat’s onboard functions. The main saloon is light and airy thanks to its numerous windows made from double-layered reflecting glass, though vertical and horizontal blinds can block out the sunlight if desired. As with the rest of the yacht’s interiors, the saloon is outfitted with furnishings from Italian design brands such as Poltrona Frau, Cassina, and Schiffini. The aft lounge features a table for alfresco dining, a covered seating area, and sun pads to the rear. The lower deck houses the yacht’s four cabins: the owner’s suite located amidships, a VIP cabin with a double bed, and two twin cabins. The tender garage is able to accommodate a 13-foot tender and two personal watercraft. (arcadiayacts.it)
