The Best of the Best 2003: Production Yachts - Ferretti 810

<< Back to Robb Report, June 2003

The Ferretti 810 is only a foot longer than the Ferretti 80, its forerunner, but those extra 12 inches make a mile of a difference. The $3.5 million 81-footer also features a salon that, with two additional armchairs, is more inviting than the 80’s. Owners can order an optional pop-up plasma TV for the salon or enjoy the yacht’s standard TV/CD/DVD entertainment center. Belowdecks, four staterooms, each with a private bathroom, accommodate as many as eight passengers, while the center-located master suite features two bed-level windows that offer the owner an expansive ocean view. Ferretti redesigned the aft platform to fit a tender and created more space on the flybridge.

The changes are not simply cosmetic. An optional package of twin 2,000-hp MTU engines thrust the 810 to a top speed of nearly 42 mph, approximately 6 mph faster than the 80’s best clip.
