The most striking aspect of the latest delivery from Heesen, the 167-foot megayacht MySky, is its bold, contemporary interiors, which were designed by the noted Dutch architect Erick van Egeraat. For his first naval project, Egeraat chose a high-contrast monochromatic color scheme that pairs bright whites with deep blacks. A wonderful example of this motif can be found in the yacht’s entryway, which features backlit white onyx inlaid in a black-marble base, creating a chaotic, eye-pleasing pattern. The main saloon pairs white leather furnishings with high-gloss Macassar ebony and features two circular settees around low coffee tables. The aft section of the saloon houses the yacht’s main dining table and its lounge and bar area, which is equipped with a nearly 65-square-foot LED screen that occupies an entire wall. The full-beam owner’s suite is located forward of the main saloon and features a large walk-in closet and a stone steam shower. Four additional cabins are located on the lower deck, bringing the total number of guest accommodations to 12. The upper deck is home to a lounge and outdoor dining area, while the sundeck contains the gym. In addition to a hot tub surrounded by sun pads on the sundeck, additional outdoor space can be created by converting the yacht’s forward touch-and-go helipad into a sun terrace. (heesenyachts.com)
