The Lungarno Collection Doubles Its Fleet with New Charter Yachts

The two new sailing yachts to join the Lungarno CollectionAlix and Highland Breeze—are ideal for travelers seeking short-term charters this season. The Lungarno Collection’s president, Leonardo Ferragamo, introduced sailing yachts from Nautor’s Swan (where he is the chairman and a co-owner) to the hospitality group’s repertoire of vacation options last summer with Solleone 90 and Virago. With the addition of the 90-footAlix and the 112-foot Highland Breeze, the group’s largest yacht, the Lungarno Collection now features a wider range of custom three-day and weeklong excursions in the Caribbean, the Greek islands, the French Riviera, and more through 2013.

Alix and Solleone 90 are available for shorter, three-night cruises throughout the Mediterranean (from approximately $28,000 for three nights). Itineraries include the Balearic Islands—Mallorca, Ibiza, Minorca, Formentera, and Cabrera—off the coast of Spain, with hikes and visits to national parks and isolated beaches and coves; and a sail through the Tuscan Archipelago—Elba, Gorgona, Capraia, Montecristo, and Pianosa—which offers Roman ruins, an Etruscan shipwreck, and car-free, mostly uninhabited cliffs and coves. Guests can also visit a handful of islands throughout the Caribbean on a weeklong cruise (from approximately $53,000) aboard either Highland Breeze or Virago, docking in the Bahamas, the British Virgin Islands, Antigua, St. Barts, Sint Maarten, St. Lucia, the Grenadines, and Grenada.

Each of the four yachts has space for six overnight guests in three cabins, and charters include four crew members, a chef, inflatable motorboats, kayaks, and snorkeling equipment. (+39.055.2726.4000, www.lungarnocollection.com)
