Last Year, the Vero Beach, Fla., yacht-tender builder Novurania launched Custom One Tenders, a new division dedicated to producing semicustom and bespoke boats. Following the successful introduction of the sub-brand’s first vessel, the Coach 31, last fall at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, Custom One Tenders recently debuted its sophomore effort, the Coach 27. Though utilitarianism often trumps aesthetics in the development of yacht tenders, both of Custom One’s offerings feature cutting-edge designs that are just as eye-catching as those of the megayachts that will house them.

With an exterior more closely resembling that of a speedboat than a typical yacht tender, the Coach 31 features bodywork that follows a subtly curved line aft from the cockpit before dropping off to meet the fiberglass-and-teak deck at the stern. The semicustom tender is available in two exterior styles: Sport and Premium. The standard Sport package features a metallic paint job, while the Premium package adds a bronze-plated roof with a skylight and polished-steel window trim. Inside, the tender can seat up to 14 passengers and, depending on the buyer’s chosen package and options, can be equipped with amenities such as glossy mahogany flooring, quilted-leather seating, a flatscreen TV, and a wine chiller.

The Coach 27 may be smaller than its predecessor, but its sharper lines give it a more aggressive appearance. The new boat sports a two-tone paint job (color options available on request) and two sun pads aft. It can accommodate as many as 10 guests in its passenger seating area, which receives plenty of natural light thanks to a skylight that runs the entire length of the space. When weather permits, the skylight can be opened.

Novurania—whose recent facility expansion gave it the enhanced shipbuilding capabilities required to launch Custom One Tenders—expects to deliver the first examples of the Coach 31 and 27 next year. (772.567.9200, www.customonetenders.com)
