With pristine waters, imposing limestone cliffs, and ancient temples, Southeast Asia is an enticing destination for those looking for adventure off the beaten path. One of just a handful of superyachts available for charter in the area, the 170-foot Jade 959 (built by Jade Yachts in 2014) is a sumptuous home base for exploring the region. Sample itineraries include jaunts through Mergui villages and snorkeling around underwater reefs in Myanmar; hikes to remote statues and temples in Thailand; and a cable-car ride to the top of the highest mountain on Langkawi Island, Malaysia.

Outfitted with antique wooden sculptures; a muted, neutral color palette; and leather furniture custom-built by Italian design house Fendi, the interior is sleek and sophisticated. Accommodating 12 guests in six cabins, the sleeping quarters comprise two double staterooms, two twin staterooms, and two master staterooms with accompanying offices and private lounges. The yacht also includes a state-of-the-art MBL stereo system, a designated children’s play loft, and a yoga and massage room.

On deck, the yacht features a large hot tub, sunbathing stations, and a bar and lounge. An arsenal of toys and tenders—including kayaks, wakeboards, paddleboards, personal watercraft, water skis, an inflatable donut, and tenders—promise unlimited fun in the sun. The yacht, which will also be cruising the Maldives this winter, is available for charter through Northrop & Johnson for a weekly base rate of $300,000.
